# Reset your password

Regain access if you forgot your password, or change it while signed in.

**Prerequisites:** None.

**Required permission:** None — available to any account.

## Forgot your password

1. On the sign-in page, click **Forgot your password?**.
1. Enter your account **Work email** and click **Send me reset password instructions**.
1. Check your inbox for the reset email, and click the link in it.
1. Enter a **Password** and **Password confirmation** (8 characters minimum), then click **Change my password**.

You're signed in automatically once the new password is set.

## Change your password while signed in

1. Click your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar → **Setting**.
1. On the **Your profile** tab, enter a **New password** and **Password confirmation**.
1. Enter your **Current password** to confirm the change.
1. Click **Update profile**.

## Notes

- The password-reset email link expires after a period of time — if it no longer works, request a new one.
- If the reset or confirmation email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder before requesting another.
