# Billing and usage

Current subscription status, storage usage, and trial period information.

The **Billing and Usage** page shows the organization's active subscription, how much of its storage allowance has been consumed, and any upcoming billing events. It is accessible to users with Admin Center access under **Billing and Plans → Billing and Usages**.

## Subscription status

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| **Plan** | The organization's current subscription plan name. See [Plans](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/admin/reference/plans/). |
| **Status** | Current subscription state. See [Subscription statuses](#subscription-statuses) below. |
| **Renewal Date** | Date the current billing period ends and the next payment is due. |
| **Cancellation Date** | If cancellation has been scheduled, the date the subscription ends. Shown only when status is *canceling*. |

## Subscription statuses

| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| **active** | Subscription is current and all features are available. |
| **canceling** | Cancellation has been requested. The subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which it terminates. |
| **canceled** | Subscription has ended. Access to paid features is restricted. |
| **past due** | The most recent payment attempt failed. Access may be restricted depending on retry policy. |
| **paused** | Subscription has been temporarily suspended. |

## Trial period

New organizations start with a 90-day free trial from the date the owner's email address is confirmed. During the trial, all plan features are available without a payment method on file. The trial end date is shown on the **Billing and Usages** page while the trial is active.

## Storage usage

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| **Used Storage** | Total file attachment storage consumed by the organization, across all modules (products, machines, items, projects, jobs, tool assemblies, vendors, and notifications). Displayed in MB or GB. |
| **Storage Limit** | Maximum storage allowed by the current plan. |
| **Usage Bar** | Visual indicator of used vs. available storage. |

Storage usage is recalculated automatically once per day. It covers all file attachments across the organization — product models, drawings, photos, NC programs, and document attachments.
