# Organizations

Organization settings — name, logo, default locale, and subscription plan.

An **Organization** is the top-level tenant in Tooling Metrics. All data — warehouses, inventory, engineering projects, and purchasing records — belongs to one organization.

## Fields

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| **Name** | Organization name. Displayed at the bottom of the sidebar and on printed documents. 3–24 characters, alphanumeric, unique within your Site. |
| **Logo** | Logo image. Appears on setup sheets, purchase orders, and other printed forms. PNG or JPEG, under 1 MB. |
| **Time Zone** | Organization's default time zone, set at creation. Used to timestamp documents unless a user overrides it in their own profile. |
| **Language** | Default language for the organization (`English`, `日本語`, or `Tiếng Việt`), set at creation. Individual users can override this in their profile. |
| **Base Currency** (`currency_id`) | The organization's reference currency for all monetary values, set to USD at creation. Changeable under **Preferences → Regional settings** to any currency already added to the organization. See [Currencies](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/admin/reference/currencies/). |
| **Subscription Plan** | Current billing plan. Read-only from the organization settings page. Managed under **Billing and Plans**. |
| **Created At** | Date the organization was first registered. Read-only. |
