**Prerequisites:** A Purchase Receipt has been validated. A Purchase Restock exists for it — either created automatically or by clicking **New Restock** on the order yourself.

**Required permission:** Purchase → Purchase Restocks — User or above. Admins can validate any restock; Managers and Users only the restocks they created.

## Process the restock

1. In the sidebar, click **Purchase → Purchase Restocks**.
1. Open the restock. Each line shows the item and the quantity to place.
1. If the restock was created automatically and your organization has stock rules configured for the item, the **To** location is already filled in for each line — verify it. If it was created manually, or no stock rule matches, pick the destination storage location yourself. See [Purchase Restocks Reference — Target location](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/purchasing/reference/purchase-restocks/#target-location).
1. Bring the items to the indicated storage location and place them physically.
1. Click **Mark as Todo** (or **Check Availability**, if the restock is already Waiting), then **Validate** once every line is placed.

## Notes

- The Purchase Order's status advances to Done once every line's Received and Restocked quantities both reach the ordered quantity.
- For large deliveries, different lines can be restocked to different storage locations, so the restock can be split across people working different areas.
- If you rely on stock rules to pre-fill locations, confirm your organization's [Automatic Purchase setting](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/purchasing/guides/configure-auto-receipt-restock/) actually includes Purchase Restock — a manually opened restock always starts with blank locations, stock rule or not.
