### October 29, 2026 <span class="tm-release-version">· v26.05.01</span>

Find any Tooling Metrics guide faster on [Tooling Metrics Support](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/), our new support site in English, Japanese, and Vietnamese with a search of its own. This release also fixes more than 250 bugs, so you can rely on your stock levels, cutting data, purchase orders, and Autodesk Fusion tool libraries.

- Read every guide on [Tooling Metrics Support](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/), including new pages on [importing from a spreadsheet](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/start-here/import-from-a-spreadsheet/) and [what Tooling Metrics connects to](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/integrations/what-tooling-metrics-connects-to/).
- Export your [Autodesk Fusion tool library](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/library/guides/export-tool-library/) even when one tool's data is incomplete: you get the rest of the library and a notification naming the tool left out. Presets now carry the feeds Autodesk Fusion asks for.
- Rely on your [cutting data](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/library/reference/cutting-data/) results: corrected formulas change some values you saved before, boring most of all. Titanium groups S4.2 to S4.4 in [Materials](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/library/reference/materials/) now give about 88% more power and torque.
- See the stock you can actually pick: Available on the Locations tab of an [item](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/inventory/reference/items/) now leaves out what open documents have reserved.
- Work at a [Warehouse Access Point](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/integrations/wap/) with the same permissions as in the web app, in each operator's language, without losing document numbers to failed saves.
- Let the [inventory scheduler](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/inventory/overview/automatic-replenishment/) run on its own: it drafts transfers and scrap lists again and tells you what it couldn't draft and why.
- Send vendors [purchase order](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/purchasing/reference/purchase-orders/) PDFs they can read, with amounts in the order's currency and Japanese text and the ₫ sign printed correctly. [Setup sheets](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/engineering/reference/setup-sheets/) print in your language too.

#### Improvements

- Know why something was refused, in your language, and keep what you had: nothing is saved halfway.
- The [history](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/start-here/interfaces/) shows who made each change, including changes through [CAM Connect](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/integrations/cam-connect/).
- Transfers confirm and Autodesk Fusion libraries export faster, and [billing](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/admin/reference/billing-and-usage/) no longer hangs when the payment provider doesn't answer.

#### Fixes

- Your organization's records stay with the people you give access to, now that we've closed security gaps across the app.
- Done stock moves can't be edited or deleted, so your stock history stays true.
- Only an active [tool](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/production/reference/tools/) moves, so tools reach machines only when they're ready. With [Validate Stock Moves](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/admin/reference/preferences/) off, Activate makes a tool active and complete.
- Purchase receipts, returns, restocks, service picks, and return picks need their purchase order, so every stock move matches what you ordered.
- [Items](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/inventory/reference/items/) need whole-number order multiples and, once released, a purchase price, so their purchase orders come out right.
- Every [vendor](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/purchasing/guides/add-vendor/) needs an address, so every purchase order PDF prints.
- [Cutting data](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/library/reference/cutting-data/) saves only when it cuts a chip, so saved data always describes a real cut.
- Creating, importing, exporting, and bulk deleting records, pushing products to items, and approving projects need the matching role in [Groups](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/admin/reference/groups/), so people work only within what you allow.
- A member waiting for approval sees only the [Access request](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/account/tutorials/log-in-and-get-access/) page until an admin approves them.

#### Changes

- Docs links now open [Tooling Metrics Support](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/), and old links redirect there, so your bookmarks keep working.
- Items without a lead time use their vendor's, and new vendors start at seven days, so every order line gets a delivery date.
- Documents the automatic jobs create belong to the warehouse's or access point's administrator, so they reach the person who handles them.
- The [API](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/api/changelog/) answers refusals and failures with error statuses, so your integrations can tell when a request didn't work.

### October 19, 2026 <span class="tm-release-version">· v26.05.00</span>

Tooling Metrics now gives every insert mounted in a [Tool Assembly](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/library/reference/tool-assemblies/) its own precise cutting reference point, so toolpath simulation and verification in your CAM software are more precise. It also imports [GTC Packages](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/library/tutorials/import-gtc-package/) in minutes instead of hours, and builds and checks [connection codes](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/library/reference/products/) against ISO 13399, so the Tool Assembly builder offers the products that really fit. [Read the announcement](https://toolingmetrics.com/eng/blog/precise-cutting-reference-points-and-faster-gtc-imports-release)

- More of a vendor's products now arrive with their data from a [GTC Package import](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/library/guides/troubleshoot-gtc-import/), so you can use them. Product data files that hit a parsing error now parse, and a product whose 3D model still can't be read is accepted, with the model kept as an attachment.
- A [Tool Assembly](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/library/reference/tool-assemblies/) now gets the class that matches how your machine holds it, in a spindle or in a turret, so an internal turning tool held in a spindle is classed as a boring tool. Whether it rotates depends on the connection your machine clamps, and when that connection fits both, you switch Rotating on the Parameters tab to match your machine.
- In Detailed, the [CAD Viewer](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/library/tutorials/build-tool-assembly/) and the model the build makes now show each holder with the inserts you actually mounted, in place of the vendor's master inserts, so the model looks like the tool you assemble.
- You can now find a rotating Tool Assembly with round or full-radius inserts by its real maximum cutting diameter. It reports its cutting diameter maximum (DCX) beside DC, and you can [filter](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/start-here/interfaces/) the Tool Assemblies list by DCX under Dimensions.
- Exporting a Tool Assembly to [Autodesk Fusion](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/library/guides/export-tool-library/) again now updates the same holder, so your Fusion tool library no longer fills with copies of it.
- You can now see what changed in each release on [Release Notes](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/start-here/changelog/), the page you're reading, in English, Japanese, and Vietnamese. The What's new button on our website opens it.

#### Improvements

- Inspect a 3D model in fewer clicks: the [CAD toolbar](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/start-here/interfaces/) gathers its views in one Views menu, the view cube turns the model to either direction of each axis in one click and has a Home button for the isometric view, and the camera stays put when you switch between Basic and Detailed. The 3D view also resizes smoothly and uses less memory.
- Keep your place as you work: Escape closes only the topmost window, list filters stay on one row and keep their scroll position, and a list shows a spinner while it loads.
- Know each scan was read at a [Warehouse Access Point](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/integrations/wap/): the scanner confirms every scan, and the cutting edge form has reworked number steppers.
- Whoever may edit a [Machine](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/production/reference/machines/) can now edit and delete its tool locations' interfaces, without asking a site owner.
- [Setup Sheets](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/engineering/reference/setup-sheets/), [Tool Lists](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/engineering/reference/tool-lists/), and [storage locations](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/inventory/overview/warehouse-hierarchy/) load faster.

#### Fixes

- Fit on Machine finds every product that fits, including those whose size range runs across two units letters.
- A Tool Assembly's models stay true to its lines: [built assets](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/library/guides/build-tool-assembly/) reset when you move a line or change its quantity, so you rebuild instead of exporting stale models. Capturing its picture also works after your session renews, without reloading the page.
- Your organization's owner can edit products imported without an owner again.
- Adaptors whose 3D model names no coordinate systems get them, and their interfaces, from the product's data file, so you can mount them in a Tool Assembly.
- You see what a change did: when it links or unlinks two records, the [history](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/start-here/interfaces/) names both, and a machine card no longer keeps stray buttons after you close the machine.
- You don't miss [push notifications](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/account/guides/install-app-and-notifications/): they're retried instead of lost.

#### Changes

- You decide who sees usage costs and moves: Usage History, under Production, and the Usage History tabs need Manager or Admin on Usage History in your [Groups](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/admin/reference/groups/), and Moves History, with the Moves History and Assembly History tabs, needs Manager or Admin on Moves History. Groups you made yourself get these only when an admin gives them.
- A machine's interface codes are stored in full, 14 characters as a product's are, so a machine can record a tolerance too. Codes saved before this release end in `****`, and the [API](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/api/reference/machines/) returns them in full.
- A GTC Package that would unzip to more than 48 GB or 500,000 files is refused, which keeps imports reliable for everyone, so split it before you import it.
- A tool assembly's **Model Viewer** tab is now called **CAD Viewer**, the name the docs use, so you find it under the same name in both.

### October 12, 2026 <span class="tm-release-version">· v26.04.04, v26.04.05</span>

Tooling Metrics pages with [3D models](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/start-here/interfaces/) now stay responsive while a model loads. [Warehouse Access Points](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/inventory/reference/warehouse-access-points/) can count items without serial numbers, and the [GTC Package import report](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/library/guides/troubleshoot-gtc-import/) says what happened to each product and why. Charts on Tooling Metrics [Dashboards](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/analytics/reference/dashboards/) now use the app's font and follow your Light or Dark [appearance](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/start-here/interfaces/), and their downloads look right in both.

- The Model Viewer and other 3D views load STEP models in the background and draw sharper on high-resolution screens. Pages that show a 3D model download 2.3 MB to display it instead of 7.6 MB, and other pages skip that download.
- The Drawing Viewer no longer goes blank when hidden or opened behind another document, and PDF attachments open. The Basic and Detailed switchers are back, and 3D views keep rotating after a click.
- At a Warehouse Access Point, [Inventory Adjustments](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/inventory/reference/adjustments/) can count items without serial numbers, and when every count matches the stock, the page says there's nothing to adjust.
- The import report gives a reason for every failure, and its download is named after the manufacturer and package. [Parse Data File](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/library/guides/create-product-manually/) says what to do when a file can't be parsed.
- [GTC Package](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/library/tutorials/import-gtc-package/) imports file products under their package's manufacturer, keep order codes, attach documents and pictures named after a product, and import packages with a newer vendor hierarchy.
- A [Third-party notices](https://toolingmetrics.com/eng/legal/third-party-notices) page lists the third-party software Tooling Metrics sends to your browser and the license for each. The footer, the Terms, and the user menu link to it.
- Charts have a color palette for each appearance and recolor without a reload when you switch between Light, Dark, and System.
- Download CSV and Download XLS give the same columns as a table [Widget](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/analytics/reference/widgets/): a Category column, then one column per series.

#### Improvements

- You see why a record won't change: a [Tool Assembly](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/library/reference/tool-assemblies/), Cutting Data, Part, or Product that a released, locked, or approved [Job](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/engineering/reference/jobs/) uses now says, in your language, that it's locked by a job that uses it.
- On the General tab of a [Project](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/engineering/reference/projects/), the picture shows at half width, and the tool rows in the [Setup Assistant](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/engineering/guides/use-setup-assistant/) fit the screen.
- Screen readers announce each chart by its Widget's title and series.

#### Fixes

- A failed build no longer slips into an export: a Tool Assembly build that fails stays unbuilt and says why, and an export that includes it stops instead of exporting without files.
- You know when a picture wasn't saved: capturing a picture of a locked Tool Assembly now says the picture couldn't be saved, instead of "Picture captured."
- Charts download and redraw cleanly: Download JPEG no longer gives a black image in the Dark appearance, and editing, adding, or deleting a Widget no longer leaves an old chart running in the page.

#### Changes

- The Chart options menu on a chart [Widget](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/analytics/reference/widgets/) no longer offers Download PDF, which never downloaded a file, or Download SVG; Download PNG still gives you an image.

### October 8, 2026 <span class="tm-release-version">· v26.04.03</span>

Tooling Metrics now builds [Tool Assembly](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/library/reference/tool-assemblies/) drawings and models about a third faster, in the background. The page you're on tells you when they're done, or why a build failed.

- [Build Assets](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/library/guides/build-tool-assembly/) runs in the background, and its button stays disabled while a build runs and hides once the assets are built. When a build fails, the message says why in your language, such as a name that's too long or a locked Tool Assembly.
- [Export Package](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/library/guides/export-tool-library/) offers each asset's download and the GTC Package on one tab, with Autodesk Fusion ahead of NX CAM.
- [Notifications](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/start-here/interfaces/) open on the All tab, next to General and Exports, and an empty tab says what will appear in it.
- The delete confirmation opens with Cancel selected, so pressing Enter twice no longer deletes the record.

#### Improvements

- Tool Assembly names can be 32 characters, up from 24.
- Every button stays in reach, whatever your screen: when a record's buttons don't fit, the row wraps and the rest fold into a More menu, and Comments & History shrinks to an icon on small screens.
- The print buttons on a [Purchase Order](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/purchasing/reference/purchase-orders/) now sit in the action bar, and created-by avatars look the same in every list and stay sharp.

#### Fixes

- No build is lost to an update: a build that's running when we update Tooling Metrics starts again after the update.

<a id="v26-04-02"></a>

### October 7, 2026 <span class="tm-release-version">· v26.04.02</span>

[Permissions](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/admin/overview/permissions-model/) in Tooling Metrics are simpler and stricter: each record type has Admin, Manager, or User, and every action asks for the role its button needs. We reviewed the Japanese and Vietnamese screens and docs line by line against the English.

- Anyone who may view a record can open every tab on it, and a tab that lists related records shows them the way that record type's own list does.
- In the [API](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/api/), Managers see every record in their organization as they do in the app, and Manager and User requests that used to fail now work.
- Messages that always showed in English, such as invitation errors and Widget filters, now show in your language, and much of the Vietnamese is rewritten.
- While we run maintenance, you see a Tooling Metrics page with our maintenance message instead of an error, and error pages show in your language.

#### Improvements

- The docs match what you see: they name every button and field as the app shows it, and the [ToolingMetrics Connect for Autodesk Fusion](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/integrations/cam-connect/autodesk-fusion/) guide now explains connecting with an API token, Export Setups, and the error log.
- Picking a plan is easier: the [Plans](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/admin/reference/plans/) page compares every feature in ONE and PRO and says which team each is best for (ONE suits up to 12 active users). Plans, prices, and limits are unchanged.

#### Fixes

- Your organization's members and billing stay with its admins: only an organization's admins can [invite members](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/admin/tutorials/invite-users/), open its Admin Center lists, see its [billing and invoices](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/admin/reference/billing-and-usage/), or [change its subscription](https://support.toolingmetrics.com/en/admin/guides/subscribe-or-change-plan/).

#### Changes

- Groups that had the Viewer level now have User, since each record type offers only Admin, Manager, User, or No permission.
- Managers and Users can validate, release, or lock only the documents they created, as the buttons already showed.
- The Vietnamese import headers changed (Nước is now Quốc gia, for example), so download the CSV template again before your next import.
