A Dashboard is a collection of Widgets arranged in a grid. Dashboards give teams a persistent view of the questions that matter most to their role.
Fields
Section titled “Fields”| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Dashboard name, shown in the Dashboards list. Required, 3–64 characters. |
| Created by | The user who created the dashboard. |
| Section | One of Production, Inventory, Purchase, Engineering. Groups the dashboard in the template gallery. Only shown on the form to a site admin. |
| Template | Marks the dashboard as a starting point offered in the template gallery when someone creates a new dashboard. Only shown on the form to a site admin. |
| Picture | Optional cover image shown on the dashboard’s card in the template gallery. Only shown on the form to a site admin. |
Visibility in the Dashboards list is not a field you set — it follows the viewer’s Analytics permission role. See How dashboards and widgets work.
Layout
Section titled “Layout”Widgets sit in a responsive grid (1 column on small screens, up to 6 on large ones) and flow in the order set by each Widget’s Order field. A widget’s Size — XS, S, M, L, XL, or XXL — sets how many grid columns it spans as the screen widens. There’s no drag-and-drop repositioning or resizing; change Order or Size on the widget itself to move or resize it.
Commands
Section titled “Commands”| Command | Description |
|---|---|
| Add Widget | Opens the widget form to add a new widget to the dashboard. |
| Edit | Opens the dashboard form to change Name (and Section/Template/Picture, for a site admin). |
| Duplicate | Creates a copy owned by you, with every widget’s settings copied — except each widget’s Source Name, which resets to “All record.” The copy’s Template is reset to false. |
| Delete | Asks for confirmation, then permanently removes the dashboard and all its widgets. |
