Create your account
Sign up for Tooling Metrics with your work email and confirm it to activate your account.
Prerequisites: A work email address at your company’s domain (free consumer email providers like Gmail or Yahoo are rejected).
By the end of this tutorial you’ll have a confirmed, active Tooling Metrics account, ready to log in.
Sign up
Section titled “Sign up”- Go to the sign-up page and enter your Work email, a Password, and Password confirmation (8 characters minimum).
- Check the box to accept the Terms of Service.
- Click Sign up.
You’ll land on a “Thank you for signing up!” screen asking you to click the verification link in the email we’ve sent. If the email doesn’t arrive within a few minutes, click Resend confirmation email on that same screen — check your spam folder first.
Confirm your email
Section titled “Confirm your email”Open the confirmation email and click the verification link. Your account is now active.
This doesn’t sign you in automatically — you’re taken to the sign-in page, where you log in with the email and password you just chose. What happens right after you log in — and whether you land straight in your organization’s data or have to request access first — is covered in Log in and get access.
Log in and get access — sign in for the first time and find out whether you own a brand-new organization or need approval to join an existing one.
