Find a manufacturer's GTC package
See which cutting tool manufacturers publish the GTC data Tooling Metrics imports, how each one provides it, and where to download it.
To import a manufacturer’s products, you first need its GTC package. The tables below show where each manufacturer publishes one, as checked in October 2026.
From the manufacturer
Section titled “From the manufacturer”These manufacturers offer a GTC package, or the .p21 file, on their own sites.

No GTC package on the manufacturer’s own site
Section titled “No GTC package on the manufacturer’s own site”As of October 2026, we found no GTC package or .p21 file on these manufacturers’ own sites. Listed on names an aggregator that lists the brand; check there whether it exports a GTC package for the items you need.

Vendors’ data terms usually allow internal use only: a package is for your own tool library, not for sharing.
Third-party cloud aggregators
Section titled “Third-party cloud aggregators”For tool assemblies that mix brands, such as one maker’s insert in another’s holder, an aggregator holds several brands’ data in one place.
- ToolsUnited (CIMSOURCE): registration is free, and exports are paid per use in credits. A GTC package with the supplier’s STEP and DXF files costs 1 credit.
- MachiningCloud: needs a business account; its data is ISO 13399.
- CADENAS PARTcommunity: a CAD portal some manufacturers use, such as Gühring, SCHUNK and EMUGE-FRANKEN. It offers CAD formats, not GTC packages.
Understanding this variation when selecting vendors prevents discovering data gaps mid-project. A complete product record enables assembly compatibility checking, machining calculations, visual outputs, and precise cost tracking. A product without parameters can be tracked in inventory but cannot participate in engineering workflows.
